The CCA Power of You Program has been designed with Carers for Carers to provide them an opportunity to find their purpose, give them hope, maintain their health and well-being and reduce social isolation.
The concept of homophily is that people generally associate and bond with those who are similar. Most CCA staff are or have been in a caring role (lived experience), an aspect of our organisation that will allow Carers to feel comfortable to share and respond to us honestly and openly.
This program will commence with a 2-day intensive program where Carers will have a break, be pampered and find their purpose. This will all be delivered in a caring and nurturing environment where we acknowledge all they are and all they do. Our aim is to raise their spirit by assisting them to identify their desires and purpose, giving them hope and self-acceptance.
Day 1 – Celebrate You
Massage and Yoga/Nia Dance combined with healthy meals, a day to celebrate you and share your experiences with others in a safe and nurturing environment.
Day 2 – Find Your Purpose
“Life is like a collection of bank accounts. Each has a certain value. A few have large balances, others might have respectable balances, and one or two may be overdrawn.” – Daniel Harkavy
o What are your priorities or what is most important to you?
o Barriers to achieving what is important to you
o Adding play for joy and laughter

The power inside you is often unknown
And to outside forces we are often prone
Life would be great for all of us here
If we could take a minute to listen and hear
Your purpose is there waiting for you
So I encourage you to your heart be true
Let your light shine for all to see
So your power and life-force sets you free
Just living cannot possibly be enough
Even if we find each day difficult and tough
We need to live for something that touches the depths of our soul
That burning inside that makes our heart sing and be whole
